People who are stressed may also have cognitive symptoms, including difficulty concentrating, feeling pessimistic, worrying, having trouble focusing and others. Finally, the behavioral symptoms of stress may include appetite changes, substance abuse, procrastination and nail-biting.

It is important for you to seek help for your stress when you are feeling overwhelmed. Recognizing that your symptoms are likely caused by stress may help. Since some symptoms of stress are also symptoms of other potential health problems, it is important for you to seek help if you are experiencing the stress symptoms that were previously listed. Feelings of loneliness can exacerbate stress. Talking with others can help to alleviate stress and boredom. Finally, don’t bottle stress up inside.
